
San Sebastian has a totally different vibe from Barcelona, but I loved it. It was very charming, and much smaller, and we enjoyed little cafes, shopping, and broke down and ate Mexican food (the Spanards' attempt at it that is). On Saturday night, we went tapa bar hopping. It was actually my first time to really go out for tapas, and it was such a great experience! (and delicious). All of the menus were in Basque, the dialect spoken in San Sebastian, so we had no idea what we were ordering. Closing my eyes and pointing, I ordered what turned out to be cow mean with strawberry

I came to San Sebastian at shall we say...interesting time. Torrential down pours, tornado winds, and tsunami waves graced the Spanish town. Streets were closed due to high waves and we were cautioned to not go outside due to flying debris. Good times. Maybe this will give you a better idea:
