I Made It!

Despite nearly missing my flight from Wichita, racing through the Amsterdam airport with only a few minutes to go through customs, mysterious airplane food, and hairspray exploding in my bag, I made it safely to Barcelona. Flagging a taxi from the airport and directing him in Spanish, I felt quite grown up. I live in an apartment that is in a prime location with a host mom and dad, and my roommate (a fellow study abroad student who is from Illinois) and I share a quaint room. Although I haven't even been here for a whole day, everything is more perfect than I could have ever imagined. I would post photos of my room, but I neglected to pack my camera cord! This weekend is Orientation, and on Saturday we go on a trip to Besalu and Vic, two small Medieval towns. Next week is Spanish immersion at school, and then classes begin. Barcelona is a bustling city with SO much to do and see. I can't wait to explore!

  1. You're alot shorter on your blog than mine - but you should know mine is mainly for my family/old relatives that's why its so detailed and probably not very interesting. And yes, I have a converter otherwise i couldn't plug it in silly but it still blew - straighteners tend to use too much power I guess. I'm going to buy a straightener at el corte ingles - please tell me you've heard of it. Can't wait to hear more about Barcelona! I'm glad you're loving it!!
